Parking in the Downtown

Village Resident and Non-Resident Parking

Reutershan and Schenck Parking Lots Per §267-7A(33) of Village Code

  • May 15th-December 31st
    • 3-Hour Parking Limit every day of week.
    • Residents and those who have a year-round lease plus three (3) proofs of residency and have a physical East Hampton Village Parking Permit sticker on their vehicle, are allowed to park in the Reutershan and Schenck Parking Lots for a maximum of three (3) hours at no charge from 10am to 6pm.
    • Non-Residents may park in the Reutershan Parking Lot (Zone 59101) and the Schenck Parking Lot (Zone 59102) for two hours at no charge and may pay $10 for an additional one (1) hour (3-hour maximum time limit) on the ParkMobile app. You must secure a parking space to purchase (no prepayment/no refunds. Do not pay in advance. Parking restrictions from 10am to 6pm.
  • January 1st-May 14th:
    • 3-Hour Parking limit on Fridays, Saturdays, all Federal Holidays, AND the Sundays preceding a Monday Federal Holiday. Residents and Non-Residents are to refer to guidelines stated above regarding parking regulations for these days of the week.
  • Just Running In?
    • There are courtesy 30-minute parking spots located in the Reutershan Parking Lot.

Street Parking - Main Street & Newtown Lane

  • 1-Hour Limit on street in front of storefronts, 8am-7pm, year-round - per §267-33C of Village Code.
  • Please read the signs posted to verify.

All Handicap Parking Spaces

  • 3-Hour Limit, no matter time of day, year-round - per §267-7B of Village Code.
  • Please read the signs posted to verify.

Long Term Parking

  • Lumber Lane Daily Parking Lot 2 (closest to Herrick Park) is free to everyone for up to 23 hours. No overnight parking.
  • Lumber Lane Long Term Lot (Zone 59203) (closest to YMCA) on the ParkMobile app. Free to Village Residents with Resident Permit. Non-Residents will be charged $10/day.
  • Along Railroad Tracks (Zone 59201) on the Park Mobile app. Free to Village Residents with Resident Permit up to 14 days at a time. Non-residents will be charged $15/day. You must secure a parking space to purchase (no prepayment/no refunds. Do not pay in advance.)
  • North side of Lumber Lane (Zone 59202) on the Park Mobile app. Free to Village Residents with Resident Permit up to 14 days at a time. Non-residents will be charged $15/day. You must secure a parking space to purchase (no prepayment/no refunds. Do not pay in advance.)

Long Term Parking Permit

  • In order to purchase a $400.00 Long-Term Parking Permit, you must be a Resident of East Hampton Town - a property owner or a year-round tenant and can provide proof. Permits expire one year after the date of purchase.
  • TOWN PROPERTY OWNER:
    1. Copy of valid driver's license
    2. Copy of valid vehicle registration
    3. A copy of your current tax bill, or receipt
    4. Cash or a check made out to the Village of East Hampton in the amount of $400.00 (Please write your phone number on your check)
  • YEAR-ROUND EAST HAMPTON TOWN TENANT:
    • Tenants renting an East Hampton Town residential property on a year-round basis must provide a year-round lease, ANY THREE of the following proofs of residency, and cash or a check made out to the Village of East Hampton in the amount of $400 (please write your phone number on your check).
    • Proofs of East Hampton Town Residency
      1. Registered to vote in Town Elections.
      2. Driver's license with address matching the address of the rental property on the lease.
      3. Automobile registration with address matching the address of the rental property on the lease.
      4. Utility bill (i.e., electric, gas, telephone, cable, water) with the address matching the address of the rental property on the lease.
      5. W-2 or income tax return with address matching the address of the rental property on the lease.
