Plumber/ Groundskeeper

The East Hampton Village Department of Public Works is seeking a candidate with journeyman level experience in plumbing including installation and repair of fixtures, DWV pipes, faucets and flushometer, boiler, water heaters, winterization of buildings, leaks, filters, radiators.

The Department of Public Works is responsible for streets, litter, trees, buildings and grounds owned by the Village of East Hampton and candidates will be required to perform other duties not listed.

Valid NYS driver’s license required a CDL is preferable, Village can provide CDL training.

Candidates must have good communication and organizational skills

5-day work week with 2 hrs. every other weekend (40-42 Hrs. wk.)

This position requires availability for emergency call back for storm and emergency cleanup.

Salary commensurate with experience plus full medical benefits, dental & eye, NYS retirement, paid holidays and time off.  Optional benefits offered include deferred compensation and tuition assistance.
